Public Works
The Public Works Department consists of two full-time employees and two part-time employees. Their duties are as varied as the employees themselves. They may be seen anywhere around town at any given time. They could be picking up limbs, mowing grass, cleaning curbs, painting fire hydrants, shoveling snow, or many other things to numerous to mention. All, except for one, of these men are volunteer firemen. This helps our town to maintain a high ISO rating since we always have someone available to respond to fire or emergency calls. Timothy
C. Linker is the Town’s Public Works Director. Tim has
been with the Town since 1987. Tim also serves as Fire Chief and Zoning
Enforcement Officer. Obviously, he is kept rather busy. Tim and his
wife, Katie, have two daughters and reside in Rockwell. Brian Shuffler works full-time for the public works department. Brian helps out wherever he is needed. He takes pride in his work and always strives to do his best. Brian has one daughter. Justin Lovingood is our newest full-time employee. Having previously worked for the Town part-time, Justin slid right into the full-time slot. Brad White is one
of our part-time employees. Brad works full-time as a City of
Salisbury Firefighter, and works in Rockwell on his days off. Brad and his wife,
Frances, also reside in Rockwell.
